My Favorite Run

The party will be at the house of Jack and Terri Stewart‘s again this year, 2916 Horsehead Bay Dr. N.W., Gig Harbor, 98335 and will be catered by the club with Prime Rib, Vegetable Lasagna, baked potatoes, ceasar salad and cheese cake with cherry topping for dessert. There will be an appearance by Santa Claus and his helpers with Stockings for the Kids. There will be a special guest this year showing up, hopefully. We will have our famous gift exchange so bring a gift costing around $10 to $15 for each person that wants to participate and then dancing and socializing until we finally give up for the evening. The club will provide soft drinks and a pony keg of beer, BYOB for anything else you might want to enjoy.

The Stewart’s have graciously offered to host the party again after last year was such a huge success, (Jack had a lot of fun) and their house was made for entertaining. With this being the IRC event of the year, you don’t won’t to miss out. Mark your calendars, cancel all the other plans, bring the kids, have fun. There is an indoor pool for all those that want to do a little swimming, but please bring a swim suit, this is a family event.

From Tacoma on Highway 16: Get off at Olympic Drive exit, Turn left at end of ramp (Safeway will be on your left) , Follow this road to a “T” intersection at bottom of hill (about 3 miles). The road curves and changes names from Olympic to 56th to Fillmore. You will pass through two stoplights, one at Pt. Fosdick and another at 38th. Turn left onto Wollochet and pass two stop lights, Follow the road right at third stop light onto 40th St., Drive 2.1 miles, and the road curves sharply left onto 92nd St., Turn right (within a block or so) onto 36th. Go through stop sign. A little baseball field and the Arletta store are on the left. Drive 0.5 miles over roller coaster road to “T” intersection and Horsehead Bay map, Turn left onto Horsehead Bay, Drive 0.5 miles to our house on right.

     Note: There are metal sculptures at the top of our driveway.
If you drive around the tip of the bay and start heading up hill, you’ve
Gone too far.
